Amanda Strong, award-winning Michif filmmaker, and Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, renowned Nishnaabeg scholar and author, in conversation. Simpson and Strong are two of the most compelling voices in storytelling today, determined to make space for Indigenous knowledge and resistance.
This talk took place on January 26, 2019, and coincided with an exhibition of Amanda Strong’s work, Biidaaban (The Dawn Comes) and How To Steal A Canoe, both of which were adapted from Leanne’s writing.
