Storytelling on Sundays

For Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Month, come together to honour and enjoy the rich tapestry of Aboriginal cultures through the vibrant oral tradition of storytelling. Storytellers can be Elders who tell traditional Indigenous stories in their own languages; professional puppeteers who tell Indigenous stories interactively to audiences; musicians who play traditional Indigenous instruments while sharing cultural information with listeners; Indigenous performance artists who first immerse audiences in a shared experience and then talk about their stories; or published Indigenous authors who share their stories, poems and histories.

For Indigenous communities, storytelling is both a cherished gift and a traditional custom, serving to educate, entertain, and preserve memories. Join us every Sunday throughout February in the Cameco Learning Studio. Immerse yourself in artmaking from 1–4 PM, and enjoy captivating stories from 1–2:30 PM. Let’s celebrate the power of narratives that connect us all.
