Peace Akintade: Earth Skin Reading & Conversation

Peace Akintade is a participant in Here and Now: A Live Arts Initiative. Over the past year she has explored the intersections of storytelling, poetry and contemporary art. Her project at Remai Modern included Interdisciplinary Storytelling, a series of four public workshops focusing on filmmaking and poetry, soundscape and storytelling, and writing poetry.

On Thursday, November 30, we are excited to launch her new volume of poetry, Earth Skin, with a reading from her book and conversation with curator Troy Gronsdahl. Participants in the Interdisciplinary Storytelling workshop series will also be invited to share their poetry, soundscapes and visuals created through the workshop series.
