Throughout the evening, LUGO Persona will present large-scale performances, unexpected moments of artistry, tempting bites by some of Saskatoon’s best restaurants, and remarkable spaces that transform the museum for one night only. Through participation, interaction and exchange, guests may find their expectations are disrupted, and the personas they encountered early in the evening shifting into something entirely different.

Artists & Performers
More than 60 artists are taking part in LUGO Persona! Here are just a few of the performer bios (in no particular order) but watch for many more incredible artists throughout the night.
On the operatic stage, soprano Chelsea Mahan has been praised for her memorable characters and use of humour. Her rich yet ethereal tone is complemented by the warmth and passion that she weaves into every phrase.


Reginald Deshawn Sankey is a Saskatoon based designer, makeup artist and creative. His dark aesthetic is sharp, edgy and easily recognizable. Pulling influence from all aspects of life his designs balance dark and light, hard and soft to create a unique experience.
Stephanie Kuse (she/her) is a media artist and graphic designer based in Saskatoon. Stephanie’s video art and projections utilize 3D-rendering, generative visual software, and real-time mixing to produce abstract visuals that blend organic form and movement with crisp digital elements featuring vibrant synthetic colors and lush textures. She has produced live performance, large scale installations, music videos, graphic design and visual identity for musicians and arts events across North America and beyond.


derdie is the collaboration between Derek Sandbeck and Andie Palynchuk, two interdisciplinary artists, situated on Treaty 6 Territory. derdie’s artistic practice revolves around the exploration of play through visual, interactive, and performance art.
Saskatoon Experimental Music Ensemble (SExME) is a community of musical composers and improvisors, working collaboratively to explore musical techniques and forms. They have performed at the Strata New Music Festival, the Sounds Like Audio Festival, Nuit Blanche Saskatoon, and as part of their own series of concerts. Current members are Tiess McKenzie, Darren Miller, Helen Pridmore, Jude Leschyshyn, Nick Arsenault, Colin Grant, Alex Loewen, and Graeme Dyck.


Starting with an impromptu Sunday-night karaoke party, organizers Brennan Elliott, Aristo Lam, Dion Florida formed BAD Pop-Up. Through word of mouth and social media, their fun karaoke nights have been popping up (and popping off!) all over the city.
Xiao Han is a Saskatoon-based artist and curator originally from Wuhan, China. Han’s creative practice focuses on photography, lens-based performance and storytelling in a community-based context. Her recent performance work integrates the Guqin, a traditional Chinese stringed instrument with a storied history.


Patty Blue is a vinyl only DJ with a vast collection spanning various genres. He will be joined on stage by three music enthusiasts, spinning soul, funk, disco and jazz records.
DJ Dev Daddy [she/her] is an open format DJ making waves in the Saskatoon music scene. Her style is influenced by an array of genres she seamlessly blends in her sets, giving her the ability to captivate with an eclectic musical experience.


Abraham Galman is an interdisciplinary artist and designer based in Saskatoon. As a Queer Filipino-Canadian, he aims to bring traditional Filipino culture and Queer culture at the very forefront of his artistic practice. His background in set and costume design are the building blocks of his artistic practice.
Chad Munson is a fixture in the local music community, as a sound engineer and performing in bands ranging from hardcore to indierock. In addition to his guitar-driven music, has also has a synth drone project under his own name, started a short run cassette label called Magnetic Domain, and co-founded Unheard Sound Series, a monthly sound series to share and promote experimental music in the city.


The perfect balance between camp on a budget and fashion on a budget. AnnaLynne Mokho will give you everything you have always wanted but somehow will always have you coming back for more! She can be your tita, tito, lolo, lola, mama, papa, kabit, ate, kuya, whatever you want.
Fine, fresh, fierce.
Freya, a radiant soul hailing from the Philippines, has found her place in Saskatoon’s vibrant drag scene. As a transwoman, she navigates the challenges of existence with grace, showcasing her resilience, love, and unwavering smile. Her journey not only reflects her own unwavering spirit but also inspires those around her to embrace their true selves and spread love wherever their paths may lead. Freya’s story serves as a testament to the power of authenticity and determination in the fight for existence.


The name is Roxie, I’m 26 years old and I’ve been doing drag for 12 years. I am a rock and roll diva who likes to get a little classy from time to time. A jack of all trades when it comes to entertaining. I am an Aries, so things do get a little spicy when I hit the stage.
Amy Grant has been doing drag for almost a decade now. She has been crowned Miss Divas 2016 and SK’s Drag Superstar 2018. As a proud first-generation immigrant, she always makes sure to incorporate her culture in her art and create spaces for other POC artists to show theirs as well. She is known for her high energy, sensuality, and a hint of camp in her performances. She definitely has a lot of tricks in her sleeve that would make you want more.


Saskatoon’s proud neurodivergent queen. An immigrant from a small corner of the Philippines and a passionate supporter of aliens and foreigners. Vengina serves up camp and ridiculousness, all while staying effortlessly sexy. As my mother always said, “It’s rare to be camp and pretty at the same time.”
Ivana Beer is the local glamorous yet messy clown diva. You will leave her performance thoroughly entertained in ways you’ve never been before. Maybe she’ll perform in a life size bowl of spaghetti, maybe she’ll tell you that in a past life you were the first caterpillar to dance on Mount Everest. Whatever it is you’ll be confused, excited and wanting more.


Justin Hauber (he/him) is a multidisciplinary artist from Saskatchewan, Canada, whose creative expression seamlessly weaves together dance and acrobatics. Rooted in the vast expanses of the prairies, on the traditional lands of the Cree Nation (Treaty 6 territory) and the Saulteaux Nation, Justin’s artistic vision is informed by the rugged beauty and majesty of the natural world. As a dancer and acrobat, he embodies the intersection of strength and vulnerability, blending fluid movement with precision and control. Justin’s artistic journey is characterized by a passion for exploration, collaboration, and innovation. With a keen sensitivity to the world around him, he continues to push boundaries, merging disciplines and mediums to create immersive experiences that inspire and awe.
Food and beverage
Hearth began as a neighbourhood gem a little off the beaten path, and has since moved downtown to Remai Modern and now has a beautiful view of the South Saskatchewan River. Hearth offers an ever-changing menu with a pinch of whimsy, a showcase of Saskatchewan ingredients, and a comfortable bar to sit at with a great cocktail.


Located just outside of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in the heart of the Canadian prairies, Black Fox Farm and Distillery is now among the country’s most well-known and well-respected craft distilleries. Acres of fresh fruit, flowers, and grains are harvested and distilled into whisky, gin, and liqueurs that tell a story of terroir and commitment to excellence.
The Last Samurai creates dining experiences unlike any other, cooking such favourites as steak, chicken, seafood and fresh vegetables in traditional Japanese style. Instead of a fixed restaurant the Last Samurai helps people celebrate any occasion by traveling to homes and creating a memorable personal chef experience for guests.


Loqui is dedicated to bridging the gap between diners and their food, through an open concept kitchen, as well as knowledge and passionate service, and gracious hospitality. Loqui looks to use global inspiration to highlight the bounty of Saskatchewan’s farmers and producers in both our dishes and our drinks.
Lucky Bastard Distillers, a Saskatoon-based distillery, is known for crafting high-quality spirits, including vodka, gin, and whisky, using locally sourced ingredients and a unique approach to distilling.


The Night Oven is a small bakery in Saskatoon that hand-crafts rustic French-inspired baking with a commitment to sourcing organic ingredients where possible, while prioritizing local suppliers to showcase what Saskatchewan has to offer.
With ingredients and cooking techniques inspired by Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Japanese cuisines, Odd Couple adds a unique Asian influence to popular Canadian dishes. Think maple glazed bacon and a farm fresh egg atop a heaping plate of Chinese BBQ pork and jasmine fried rice.
