Adrian Stimson – Artist Feature

Adrian Stimson is a Saskatoon-based artist: he is a creator of edgy performance personas, a painter known for his “tar and feathers” series, an installation artist, curator, educator, environmental activist, and a leader from the Siksika (Blackfoot) First Nation. In this audio feature recorded at the Mendel Art Gallery, Adrian elaborates on the installation, video and paintings in his exhibition, Beyond Redemption.

Stimson holds an MFA from the University of Saskatchewan. He has exhibited his work extensively, nationally and internationally, and he is represented by the Nouveau Gallery in Regina.
