Camera Policy

 

Visitors to the Mendel Art Gallery may photograph and videotape their family and friends outside the Gallery, and in the lobby and Civic Conservatory. Photography and video recording are not allowed in any galleries. Visitors may not photograph any of the artwork on display anywhere in the Gallery. This policy is enforced to prevent harm to artworks from flash photography and to ensure copyright protection for artists.

 

Members of the media who wish to videotape or photograph artwork for editorial or promotional purposes must receive clearance from the Communications Department.

 

Please note that the only exception to the camera policy is for our yearly School Art exhibition of student artwork from Saskatoon’s schools. Photography is permitted of this exhibition ONLY.

 

 

Wedding Policy

 

Wedding ceremonies are not permitted to take place inside the Mendel Art Gallery and Civic Conservatory at any time. Wedding ceremonies are permitted on the grounds of the Mendel Art Gallery and Civic Conservatory.
