School Art

School Art

April 3 to June 7, 2015

A Saskatoon favourite with gallery visitors for 42 years! The exhibition showcases some 200 artworks by elementary and secondary students of Saskatoon’s schools. This annual presentation of paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures and video works is organized by the Mendel Art Gallery to acknowledge the excellence of artmaking by Saskatoon’s young people.

The selection committee, comprised of representatives of the Public and Catholic school systems and the Mendel Art Gallery, chooses at least two works from each of the schools that have submitted works for consideration. Schools with more than 350 students are represented by three works. A limited number of artworks are also included on a merit basis.

Submission deadlines here.

School Art is sponsored by PotashCorp.
