The Mendel Art Gallery is a valuable and unique learning resource for schools. We provide opportunities for students to engage with original artwork, and to take a critical look at visual culture.
Designed to connect Mendel exhibitions to the curriculum needs of teachers and students, this highly interactive program builds viewing skills, examines a wide range of approaches to artmaking, and puts art production into historical and contemporary contexts. Programs are available at the Gallery and in school classrooms.
The Gallery welcomes about 9,000 students each year, and the program continues to thrive, adapting and changing to the needs of educational institutions and school divisions.
