Henderson’s use of photography is revealed in an extraordinary album given by his housekeeper Rosie Riess to Professor Russell, Plant Pathologist at he University of Saskatchewan, who used to visit Henderson on his trips around the province to check his experimental plots. This album has a variety of images taken by a number of hands. These photos include views of his studio, the interior and exterior of his home, Rosie Riess, Fort Qu’Appelle landscapes, and posed images of Indiginous people. Like his photographs in other archives, most were taken in his studio at Fort Qu’Appelle and many are recognizable as studies for paintings.
