Spring Breakers, Harmony Korine

Four college-aged girls go on spring break in St. Petersburg, Florida, and meet an eccentric local drug dealer who helps them in a time of desperation. The film chronicles their eventual descent into a world of drugs, crime and violence. In the tradition of the landmark Kids and Gummo, Spring Breakers‘ director Harmony Korine unleashes a story of ferocious, feverish, and furiously alive youth, examining the sights, sounds, and sensory overload of a new generation of restless youth.

SaskTel Theatre

This April, Cinema at the Museum presents a series of films that examine youth culture, changing societal tides, and the fight for those on the fringes of society. These ideas are showcased through documentation, faux-realism, or from a dream-like state that twists and bends the narrative of modern social consumption and excess.

Film tickets are $10; free admission for members and youth under 18.

Talks, tours and other events are admission by donation or free with membership.
