Visitors to the Mendel Art Gallery may photograph and videotape family and friends outside the Gallery, and in the lobby and Civic Conservatory. Commercial photography and video recording are not allowed in any galleries. There are photography restrictions in some exhibitions to protect artists’ copyright: please check current postings in the gallery. There is no flash or video photography allowed.
Members of the media who wish to videotape or photograph artwork for editorial or promotional purposes must receive clearance from the Communications Department. For further information, contact Communications Coordinator Sheila Robertson at (306) 975-2242.
The annual School Art exhibition of student artwork from Saskatoon’s schools is exempt from photography restrictions. Photographing these works is freely permitted.
